"If I had one hour to save the world, I would spend 59 minutes defining the problem and one minute resolving it."
-Albert Einstein

Our whole systems approach to planning explores the complex interrelationships between land, air, water, energy, buildings, and cost.

From planning the restoration of an historic building to mapping out the revitalization of a city block, our trained facilitators are skilled in helping diverse groups to set a more sustainable trajectory for their project while achieving consensus around complex design challenges.

One of the specific tools we use to optimize the performance of a project is the Green Design Charrette. A Green Design Charrette is a facilitated, multi-day design event that challenges diverse groups of professionals and community members to collaborate on developing the most sustainable plan/design for a given project. While a Charrette is both participatory and creative, it is also structured to produce a real product--a workable and sustainable design with a wide consensus.
